Buy Pixels

If you're looking for pixels, you've come to the right place! We've got a million of the little things.

Pixels on The Hundred Billion Isk Homepage are available in 100 pixel 'blocks', with each block measuring 10x10 pixels. You will see the homepage is divided into 10,000 of these blocks. The reason for selling them in these blocks is because anything smaller than 10x10 pixels would be too small to display anything meaningful.

Each 10x10 block costs (EvE Online Credits which will be known from now-on as ISK)ISK: 1,000,000, equating to a cost of ISK: 10,000 per pixel. You can buy as many blocks of pixels as you like, as long as there are some available (see the live stats in the top right corner of the page). Please read all of the following T's & C's if you are about to buy some pixels - especially those marked in red. Just so we all know what the score is :)

Terms and Conditions

  • The minimum purchase is ISK: 1,000,000 (100 pixels), and the maximum purchase is whatever is left
  • When you 'buy' my pixels you will not 'own' any part of the homepage or this site, but rather you are granted the right to submit an image and link which will then be published on the homepage in the respective space you have paid for
  • You can change the image or link once you have submitted them, at a cost of ISK: 500,000 so you must be sure of the image & link you want on the homepage to avoid this "tax", which will be there for at least 10 years. The only exception is if you have a strong reason why you need a change to your image/link, eg. your site no longer exists, major structural change to your site, lawsuits, etc. Changes for those reasons will be free.
  • Your homepage MUST be related to the MMORPG EvE-Online in some way
  • If your image and link are accepted and published on the homepage, you cannot get a refund
  • The site and homepage will be online for at least 10 years (starting from the day it launched), so at least until 10th September2015, but possibly even longer (that's the aim)
  • No obscene/offensive/adult images/links will be accepted, and I decide what is appropriate for the site. If you submit an image or link that is rejected, you will have the opportunity to provide an alternative, otherwise your money will be refunded and you will lose your pixels
  • If your link is accepted and you later change the content of the linked site to show offensive/obscene/adult material then your link will be removed until you provide a new one, and you will not get a refund of any kind for the link downtime
  • If for whatever reason in the future you want your image and link removed from the homepage, you can do that, but you will not get a refund and the space will become publically available again
  • Images must be the exact size you have paid for (eg. 100 pixels = 10x10 pixels)
  • Images must be in GIF or JPEG format, and a reasonable file size
  • Images must NOT be animated (imagine how messy the homepage would look)
  • Links must be to web pages only and begin with http://
  • You must have the authority to provide the image and link for the website you submit
  • Funds must be fully recieved and cleared before your pixels go live on the homepage
  • There might be occasional downtime for site maintenence but I'll try and keep these to a minimum
  • Once you have ordered and the funds have cleared (eg. in my EvE-Online characters wallet), I will aim to get your pixels online within 24-48hrs (but please have patience if things kick off and loads of people order at the same time)

Ok great, so now you're all set to buy some pixels. There is only one way to pay for pixels on my site: In game currency transfers to the character stated..

In Game Currency Transfer

You can only buy pixels by transferring 1,000,000 isk to the character : BillionIskWebsite OR Cortex Reaver (please copy and paste into the game to avoid isk going to any other person) please e-mail billion@danaleen.xidus.net (untill i sort out a real domain name) with the following:
 
  1. Attach your image as a GIF or JPEG (must be correct size for the pixels purchased) And tell me the name of the character who sent the isk.

  2. State where you want your graphic to be placed on the homepage (eg. "50 blocks across, 20 blocks down"). Make sure you are certain, because it's expensive to change at a later date.

  3. State which website you would like your graphic linking to (must begin with 'http://')

  4. State what TITLE/ALT text you want for your image, max. 50 characters. TITLE/ALT text appears when people hover their cursor over your image.

  5. Please state whether you want a direct web link to your site, or whether you want a dynamic web link that also tracks the number of clicks you get (please be aware that dynamic links can apparently have a negative affect on your search engine rankings, but if you want your clicks tracked then choose dynamic).

UPDATE: Current estimated time from ordering your pixels to going live on homepage: 24hrs. Please note if two or more people in the queue ask for the same position on the homepage, the person who ordered earliest will have priority.
